The Belvedere

The Belvedere, at 100 Belvidere Street in Boston's Back Bay, is an 11-story condominium building with 61 residences, completed in 2001 on the Prudential Center campus with indoor connections to the Prudential Center and Copley Place.

Boston Properties began construction on the site in 2000 as part of a series of additions to the Prudential Center along Huntington Avenue, and Houston-based InterCapital Partners was retained to develop and sell the condominiums. The building was planned with 65 homes and was completed with 61. Note that the street is spelled Belvidere while the building is The Belvedere.

Residences range from one- to three-bedroom homes, from about 840 to 3,090 square feet. Finishes typically include hardwood floors, custom cabinetry, granite counters, premium appliances, and marble baths with soaking tubs and glass showers. Some homes have Juliet balconies or fireplaces, and some look out over the reflecting pool of the Christian Science Plaza.

Residents have a 24-hour doorman and concierge, a covered auto court, and an underground garage with valet or self-parking. A second-floor residents' library and dining room with a caterer's kitchen hosts private parties and building gatherings, and there is a private roof deck. Room service is available.

Residents can walk indoors to the shops and restaurants of the Prudential Center and Copley Place without stepping outside, a real advantage in a Boston winter. The Prudential Green Line station, the Hynes Convention Center, and Symphony Hall are all nearby, and the Christian Science Plaza is across the street. Other full-service condominiums in the area include Trinity Place and The Mandarin Oriental.

For buyers who want a boutique full-service building with indoor access to two of Boston's major shopping centers, The Belvedere offers a convenient and private address in Back Bay.
