Heritage On The Garden Condos

Heritage on the Garden, at 300 Boylston Street in Boston's Back Bay, is a luxury condominium building with 87 residences, completed in 1988 and rising to 12 stories directly across from the Public Garden.

Developed by The Druker Company and designed by The Architects Collaborative, the firm founded by Walter Gropius, Heritage on the Garden fills nearly a full block of Boylston Street between Arlington Street and Hadassah Way. The Post-Modern building is clad in brick and limestone and steps from five stories up to twelve, a scale shaped by a community effort that turned back earlier plans for much taller towers on the site. Druker won a city design competition for the parcel and refined the plan with the city and neighborhood residents. Retail occupies the ground floor, offices fill the second through fourth floors, and the residences sit above.

Homes range from studios to penthouses, with layouts of up to four bedrooms. Front residences look directly over the Public Garden, others take in Back Bay and the skyline, and some homes have private terraces.

Service is discreet and comprehensive. A 24-hour concierge and doorman staff the residential lobby, an underground garage serves the building, and a mahogany and cherry library offers a gracious shared space for residents.

The address is among the most prestigious in Boston. The Public Garden is across the street, Boston Common and Beacon Hill are just beyond, and Newbury Street begins a block away. Arlington station on the Green Line is right outside, and well-known boutiques line the building's ground floor. Next door, the Four Seasons Residences share the same Public Garden frontage, and the Mandarin Oriental is a short walk up Boylston Street.

Heritage on the Garden remains one of Back Bay's signature condominium buildings, valued for its scale, its craftsmanship, and its unmatched view of the Public Garden.
