The Harlo, at 1350 Boylston Street in Boston's Fenway neighborhood, is a 17-story rental apartment building with 212 residences, completed in 2017 at the corner of Boylston and Kilmarnock Streets.
Skanska USA developed The Harlo with Prudential Real Estate Investors, and ADD Inc designed the tower. Construction began in late 2015, the building topped out in November 2016, and it opened in the fall of 2017. The 183,000-square-foot tower includes 25 affordable homes, about 7,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, and an underground garage of roughly 100 spaces. Invesco later acquired the property.
Residences range from studios to three-bedroom homes, including two-level loft apartments. Every home has an in-unit washer and dryer, a walk-in closet, a private storage unit, a smart thermostat, and large windows, and select homes have a private terrace or balcony. Studios start at about 440 square feet.
The 18th-floor sky deck has fire pits and canopy seating, with views over Fenway Park, the Back Bay, and downtown. A fifth-floor terrace adds grills and another fire pit. Residents also have a fitness center, a business center with quiet work zones, private dining and event spaces, bike storage, a pet grooming room, and controlled-access parking with EV charging.
Fenway Park and the Fenway Green Line station are a short walk away, commuter rail is nearby, and a Star Market sits across the street. The Harlo stands beside 1330 Boylston and across from The Van Ness Residences, at the center of the new Fenway along Boylston Street.
The Harlo brings tower living with a sky deck view to one of Boston's busiest neighborhoods.
